Environmental Certification
The Ottawa Convention Centre is a strong advocate for environmental respect, conservation, and sustainable living. This centre is a green building demonstration to visitors as well as a visible landmark for sustainability in Ottawa.
Ottawa Convention Centre is a LEED Gold certified building. LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) is a green building rating system administered by the non-profit Canada Green Building Council. There are 70 possible LEED points achievable in six categories: Sustainable Sites, Water Efficiency, Energy & Atmosphere, Materials & Resources, Indoor Environment, and Innovation & Design.
