4th Annual Dancing with Easter Seals Stars Presented by Tamarack Homes

Dancing with Easter Seals Stars is a glamorous gala event that begins with a cocktail hour and celebrity meet & greet, followed by a plated dinner, silent auction, and our feature entertainment. Guests will be entertained by eight local Ottawa celebrities, who will be partnered with dance professionals from the Fred Astaire Dance Studio. True to the element of competition, celebrity judges, along with our guests, will assist in determining which dance duo will be the winning “stars” of the evening.  All proceeds from the 4th Annual Dancing with Easter Seals Stars will go towards assisting families in purchasing expensive mobility equipment and communication devices. Easter Seals Ontario also owns and operates two fully accessible camp properties, and is recognized as an industry leader in providing specialized recreation programs for kids with physical disabilities.  The children that Easter Seals serve may have a physical disability, but they are still KIDS. Easter Seals helps our kids to find their independence and strengths by providing them with opportunities to succeed, and experiences that they will never forget.

Public Sector Social Media 2014

Now in its 6th year, this event has grown to become the premiere conference on social media in the public sector, and it’s not hard to see why. Each year, more and more professionals join us to speak with the experts on the changes Social media is bringing to their departments, and how they can stay on top of this ‘social revolution.’ Indeed, social media have become an essential tool for communication and collaboration, and soon may become as much a part of government business as email. Learn from the experts how to capitalize on this interactive revolution to improve employee and citizen engagement, accelerate projects, access knowledge, enable collaboration, and manage major change initiatives. Public sector social media comfort and experience levels vary greatly, and new ways to work with social media are disrupting long-established practices. Which medium is best for citizen interaction? How can we make better use of social media to drive internal performance? Answer these questions and more with the practical implementation case studies and best practice examples.

Dates and Times:
