Rigging Services – Provided by “Freeman Electrical Services”:
Rigging service requirements must be arranged through the Ottawa Convention Centre’s exclusive contractor.
Freeman Electrical Services provides skilled and qualified technicians and riggers for the installation and removal of overhead rigging equipment for specialty lighting, theatrical elements and other show components, either provided by the their firm or by other suppliers and clients.
Electrical Services – Provided by “Freeman Electrical Services”:
Electrical service requirements must be arranged through the Ottawa Convention Centre’s exclusive contractor.
Freeman Electrical Services provides safe and effective temporary electrical services for trade shows, events, and other service providers under contract with the OCC. They provide the electricians to install the temporary electrical distribution equipment such as distribution panels, cables, cable mats and covers and related equipment or products required for safe and complete installations.
The Electrical Safety Authority (ESA) is authorized by provincial legislation to perform electrical inspections in the Province of Ontario and the Ottawa Convention Centre. Electrical inspections are required on temporary electrical installations at the Centre. Furthermore, all electrical equipment must be approved or certified with a recognized standards label (ie: CSA monogram) before it may be used for display or presentation.
Material Handling - Provided by “Freeman”:
Material Handling requirements must be arranged through the Ottawa Convention Centre’s exclusive contractor.
Freeman is responsible to plan, direct, coordinate and perform the movement of freight in and out of loading areas and show floor in a safe, efficient and courteous manner. They are responsible for providing dock supervision, traffic control and operation of freight elevators for clients during move in and out.
The OCC will require clients to use OCC exclusive Material Handling Services Providers when:
Clients are not required to use the exclusive supplier for material handling when they are able to safely move in and out materials by hand dollies or without the use of motorized equipment.

Information Technology and Communications - Provided by “AVW-TELAV”:
IT, Technology and Communication requirements must be arranged through the Ottawa Convention Centre’s exclusive partner.

Digital Signage Program – Provided by “AVW-TELAV”:
Use of the OCC’s built-in Digital Signage system must be arranged through the Ottawa Convention Centre’s exclusive partner.

Corporate Services – Provided by “AVW-TELAV”:
AVW-TELAV provides a range of business support services to clients and delegates in the OCC at their fully automated Corporate Centre.

It is recommended that all presentation technology requirements be arranged through AVW-TELAV, our official Partner, with an onsite office and warehouse at the Ottawa Convention Centre.

Show Services (including Exhibit Transportation and Custom Clearance) - Provided by ”Freeman”:
Freeman provides integrated services for face-to-face marketing and brand building events, including expositions, conventions, corporate events, meetings and exhibit programs. Services include the rental, installation and dismantling of booth and special event furnishings including hard wall panels, pipe and drape,furniture, carpet and accessories. They also offer custom booth fabrication, installation and dismantle services, graphics and banners, exhibit transportation and customs clearance, advanced storage, and many other client driven requirements.
