This time-lapse video showcases our colleagues flipping a room during a 10-day city-wide corporate event we held at our Centre. For 10 days, our Canada Hall went through various stages of preparation, setup, rehearsals, and events including a Superbowl party, sessions, and a gala dinner with a rock concert. 7 set-up days, 3 event days, 1700 delegates, 3 cameras, 45,000 photos, and 1 team of dedicated colleagues made this amazing video and an unforgettable event.
Shaw Centre 360°
Take in all of the Shaw Centre. And we mean the whole centre. Here’s a 360-degree view of the architectural marvel. This building stops people in their tracks every day and we can’t blame them. Now you too can take in downtown Ottawa’s modern gem and admire its design. You also get a great idea of where the Shaw Centre Ottawa is located in Ottawa and its surroundings. Shaw Centre is attached to the CF Rideau and the Westin, creating a seamless experience for its guests. It overlooks the historic Rideau Canal and is in close proximity to great entertainment such as the National Arts Centre, the ByWard Market and much more. crEATe Kitchen
Interactive food experiences are both delicious and unforgettable. At Ottawa’s Shaw Centre, food plays a starring role in all our events and with our unique crEATe kitchen, we are the only convention centre in the world to have a state-of-the-art, interactive cooking space for our guests to enjoy.
Customized cooking and dining experiences are available for groups of 10 to 20. crEATe kitchen is ideal for team building, private functions, corporate events, board meetings, pre-conference planning sessions or post-conference events, as well as a venue to film cooking shows or host culinary demonstrations.
In addition to a private, lavishly-appointed cooking and dining area, the crEATe space also includes an adjacent dedicated reception area, ideal for drinks, hors d’oeuvres and mingling before the main event. Each aspect of your crEATe experience can be customized, including menus and wine selections from the Centre’s extensive cellars.
Whether you want to roll up your sleeves and help the Chef, or sit back and enjoy the show, our kitchen is ready for you.

We made a request to do a live broadcast during Covid, just weeks in advance of our scheduled date of annual event. Staff were accommodating, highly organized and provided us with a safe space in which to hold our event.
The process was organized and clear, verbal and written information on health and safety was clear and thorough. We had great confidence in the measures taken to assure our safety and the safety of our guests. The expectations of measures in place did not disappoint and were a reflection of the extensive health and safety guidelines provided in advance. Despite the enormous challenges brought on by the global pandemic, we made Prom happen for the graduating class of 2021, offering students not only a welcome social respite during these weirder-than-weird times, but also access to a hugely important rite of passage that will remain in their hearts and minds forever.
